Dave Poon Tip

Dave is a Level 3 NCCP basketball coach fully certified in 1994. He attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and was a varsity athlete and a Business major. He has been involved in basketball as a player, coach or referee for over 30 years.

He has had the opportunity to travel and play in many countries including France, Belgium, Israel and the USA during his playing days. He has also been a coach at the college level at both SAIT in Calgary and George Brown College in Toronto. He has coached all age groups from 6 years to senior men.

Dave moved to Vancouver from Phoenix AZ in 2000 and has since coached at the high school level in Burnaby. Most recently he has been the regional head coach for Basketball BC boys U15 team for Burnaby/ New West. A position he held for 4 years. Dave has also been the Senior Boys head coach at Burnaby Central Secondary for the past three seasons.

Victory Sports Camps is an attempt to teach kids to self direct their lives, propel them in a direction of their choosing and help guide them in finding their passion.

One of the biggest keys to success is how early in life a person chooses and sets goals and how they are supported in that choice. Lets give our kids a solid foundation for future success in a fun environment.
